Walter Charles Post was born July 9, 1929 in St. Wendelin, Ohio. Post was a powerful slugger in the mid-1950s who spent most of his career with Cincinnati teams; he also was respected for his strong and accurate throwing arm.

Maximillian George Carnarius was born January 11, 1890 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He first adopted the name Max Carey when he played his first professional baseball game in order to retain his amateur status at Concordia College; the name would stick with him for his entire career. Carey enjoyed six seasons in which he hit over .300, but he built a more lasting reputation

as a superb defensive center fielder and a successful basestealer. The Pirates great still holds several National League records for fielding prowess and led the league in steals 10 times.

Rocco Domenico Colavito, Jr., nicknamed Rocky, was born August 10, 1933 in New York City. Few players captured the imagination of a town the way Rocky Colavito did Cleveland. The 6’3″, boyishly handsome strongman from the Bronx had a charisma that made him the most memorable personality in Indians history; he was voted so in 1976. He reached 300 home runs faster than all but four players; he was 31 when he hit number 300.

Edward Trowbridge Collins, Sr., nicknamed “Cocky”, was born May 2, 1887 in Millerton, New York. An aggressive and confident second baseman, Eddie Collins starred in the famous $100,000 infield in Philadelphia. He played 25 seasons in the Major Leagues and for 10 seasons batted over .340, helping him earn membership in the exclusive 3,000-hit club.
